Chess Set Code 51 Fantastic chess set in good condition, some wear due to use but all pieces there and all intact.
It’s got some age but unsure how much but looking at it I would say it’s 1960s possibly 70s Eastern European due to the type of pokerwork that has been used to decorate. Hand made with a folk art type vibe to it and the board measures 39.5 x 39.5 cms, the king height is 8.5cms with the pawns being 5cms high. If you know any more than me please tell me as I’m only going off what I think about it.
You would pay an absolute fortune for a mass produced good quality set but here we have a fantastic set that’s hand made and quite possibly a one off. If your into your chess or a collector this will be something you definitely will want. It’s good to go and priced for a quick sale.. |
